About Tracy
Tracy grew up in rural south Jersey, where she developed a love of farm markets (can’t beat Jersey sweet corn and tomatoes), and the eastern shore of Maryland where she enjoyed her family’s Chesapeake Bay sailing adventures. She gained culinary skills through exploring global farm markets in her adopted state of California, before returning to the Mid-Atlantic where she studied the global aquaculture industry and tracked the growth of the sector across the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays.
She shares her time and talents with many organizations. A Farm Bureau Foundation member, she assisted in the development of the state’s first agritourism conference, Growing Maryland Agritourism in 2023, and was invited to join the Global Agritourism Network’s North American communications committee the same year. She’s also a member of the Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania chapters of the American Planning Association.
Tracy has worked and lived on both coasts—she rode the client-server technology wave selling corporate IT workforce training solutions to the Fortune 2000 in California before leading marketing and media relations for trade associations and nonprofits where she managed teams creating consumer and trade industry events. She’s kept her hand in the local foods movement through work as a personal chef and caterer, plant-based ingredients cooking instructor and workshop producer, and brand ambassador managing wine and spirits tasting events throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
An accomplished editor and writer, she launched a Mid-Atlantic consumer lifestyle brand publication for Verizon, is a contributor to the Washington Post, and has written for trade and consumer media covering agriculture, construction, real estate, design, healthcare, food, and travel.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University’s school of journalism, internet marketing certification from University of San Francisco, Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the University of Delaware in 2018, and became a certified grant writer through Candid.org in 2019. She’s currently pursuing a certification in artificial intelligence with a focus on small business AI integration. Connect with Tracy via email or phone.
